Softball Recap: Belle Plaine Comes Up Short

Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigerhawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-5 loss on June 9th.

Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Colfax-Mingo, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Looking ahead, Belle Plaine will head out on the road to square off against Montezuma at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Colfax-Mingo, they have already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against BCLUW on the 28th.
