Cairo came tearing into Thursday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Deerfield-Windsor Knights 9-1. Considering the Syrupmakers have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cairo's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Cairo will challenge Calvary Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they will host Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
