Baseball Recap: Beecher Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beecher entered their tilt with Chicago University on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Maroons 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chase Maher was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Easton Lane was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Beecher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Beecher's record now sits at 16-8. As for Chicago University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7-2.

Looking ahead, Beecher will host Momence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Momence Athletics have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.87 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chicago University, they will head out to face off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
