Recap: Forest Lake Christian Falcons vs. Delta Saints

The Forest Lake Christian Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Delta at home by a decisive 46-29 margin. Forest Lake Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Delta apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Forest Lake Christian still got an impressive performance from Julia Nguyen, who scored 11 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Kenzi Harrington, who scored seven points along with three blocks.

Ayren Rapp continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Delta, scoring 23 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. Rapp is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Zoey Velasquez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Forest Lake Christian bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Forest Lake Christian will head out on the road to face off against Encina Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foresthill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foresthill is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
