Rifle entered their tilt with Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Panthers 12-0. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by exactly 12 runs.

Rifle let Ella Jackson and Aaliyah Mangnall run wild. Jackson went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Mangnall went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Jackson has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emma Aragon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Rifle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montezuma-Cortez only posted an OBP of .143.

Rifle's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Montezuma-Cortez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rifle beat the Panthers by a score of 13-4 later that day.
