Football Recap: Burncoat Piles Up the Points Against Montachusett RVT + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nipmuc Regional, Burncoat was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs 44-6. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Burncoat got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joel Chuku out in front who picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 99 receiving yards gave Chuku a new career-high. Luis Rodriguez was another key back, rushing for 80 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries.

Burncoat was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Montachusett RVT, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burncoat will welcome St. Paul at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Montachusett RVT, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Assabet Valley RVT at 6:00 p.m.
