Basketball Recap: Princeton Drops Highest Score of Season Against Elk Creek

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Princeton). They claimed a resounding 68-36 win over the Elk Creek Elks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-22 back in January.

Several Elks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaydence Reagan, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Reagan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Cheryl Burrows was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Princeton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points over those games. As for Elk Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elk Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paradise Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elk Creek is facing Paradise Adventist Academy at the right time seeing as Paradise Adventist Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
