Softball Recap: Algona Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Edmond, Algona was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets 11-2. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Algona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Algona will head out to challenge Clear Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they will host North Union at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
