Basketball Recap: Line Mountain Takes a Loss

Line Mountain lost against Upper Dauphin Area back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Line Mountain Eagles had to suffer through a 48-17 loss at the hands of the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.

Mazie Bingaman was a one-woman wrecking crew for Upper Dauphin Area as she went 8 for 17 on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Kasey Weibley was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Line Mountain dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Line Mountain will host Southern Columbia Area at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
