Soccer Game Preview: Nipomo vs. Cabrillo

Nipomo and Cabrillo are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long. The Nipomo Titans will head out to challenge the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Nipomo turned things around against Coast Union on Monday. Neither they nor the Broncos could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result was nothing new for the Titans as the team has yet to pick up a win this season.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo didn't have quite enough to beat Mission College Prep on Monday and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Conquistadores came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Royals are ranked 609th).

With that draw, Nipomo's record moves to 0-7-1. As for Cabrillo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1.
