Immanuel is a perfect 3-0 against Monache since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will square off against the Marauders at 6:00 p.m. The last four games Immanuel has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Immanuel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Reedley, sneaking past 6-4. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Pirates on their field since May 9, 2024.
Julian Ornelas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025.
Ornelas wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Titus Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs Young has posted since back in April. Kelton Eastham was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Monache waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Pirates.
The team relied heavily on Rolando Quinones, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Correa, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Immanuel's record is now 18-12. As for Monache, their record now sits at 24-8.
Immanuel beat Monache 8-5 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
