McGill-Toolen came tearing into Tuesday's contest with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bayside Academy Admirals by a score of 3-1. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Admirals, too.

The win didn't come easy: Bayside Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-22.

McGill-Toolen can attribute much of their success to Payton Mcclarren, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Mcclarren has posted over her last eight games. Bella Smith was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: McGill-Toolen was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Bayside Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ansley Weller had 13 digs and two aces.

McGill-Toolen's record now sits at 17-2. As for Bayside Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-6.

McGill-Toolen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mountain Brook on the 11th. Bayside Academy has also already played their next contest (against St. Michael Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
