Basketball Game Preview: Westlake Lions vs. Carrollton Trojans

The Westlake Lions will square off against the Carrollton Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Westlake beat East Coweta 52-39.

Meanwhile, Carrollton humbled Chapel Hill with a 67-25 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Carrollton is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Westlake might still be hurting after the 66-44 loss they got from Carrollton in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westlake was down 35-15.
