Woodland has gone 9-1 against Calais recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Woodland turned things around against Shead on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 15-3 win.

Meanwhile, Calais got themselves on the board against Shead on Thursday, but Shead never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 11-0. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Parker Cole was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Calais let Michael Barnard and Isaac Downing run wild. Barnard went 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, while Downing went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three runs gave Barnard a new career-high. Chayeden Newell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Calais' victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
