Volleyball Recap: Carter-Riverside Has No Trouble Against Castleberry

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bowie, Carter-Riverside was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Castleberry Lions 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

While Carter-Riverside might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Castleberry scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

Carter-Riverside's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-13-1. As for Castleberry, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Carter-Riverside and Castleberry will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to challenge their familiar foe Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Castleberry will take on rival Lake Worth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
