West Laurens dropped down to 29-4 on Thursday, ending the team's 17-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Heritage Generals by a score of  3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Raiders have suffered  since September 11th.
As for Heritage, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.4 runs over those games.
For Heritage's part,  Bailee Hollis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Hollis has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Ema Tanner was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
