Soccer Recap: Cass Takes a Loss

If Cass was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Holy Innocents Episcopal on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colonels came up short against the Pebblebrook Falcons on Thursday, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Cass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Pebblebrook are ranked 28th).

Cass has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Pebblebrook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4-1.

Cass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pebblebrook, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against South Gwinnett at 6:30 p.m. Pebblebrook are on a three-game streak of home wins, South Gwinnett a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
