Football Recap: Hamilton County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hamilton County was the 27-0 winner over Edwards County when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Foxes were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 14-13 to the Lions. The Foxes' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Dallas Benbrook threw for 84 yards on five of 13 attempts. Kal Welch was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Brodie Dardeen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Edwards County, rushing for 97 yards and one touchdown.

Hamilton County's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Edwards County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Hamilton County will challenge Johnston City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Foxes will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Edwards County, they will square off against Sesser-Valier/Waltonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
