Illinois High School Football - Edwards County nudges Hamilton County

In Friday's league match, the host Edwards County Lions football squad scored a close 14-13 triumph over the Hamilton County Foxes.

The Lions (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Sesser-Valier/Waltonville (Sesser, IL). The Red Devils come into the Black Diamond battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Sesser-Valier/Waltonville nipped Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL), 38-6, in a league battle.

The Foxes now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Johnston City for a Black Diamond battle on Friday, October 10. Hamilton County will play a Indians team coming off a 46-22 league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, IL). The Indians record now stands at 6-0.
