Flower Mound scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against the Van Alstyne Panthers, falling 114-81. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Flower Mound's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Van Alstyne, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Flower Mound will head out on the road to challenge Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will be up against the Farmers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.93 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Van Alstyne, they will be home for the holidays to greet Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
