The Lyndon Tigers will face off against the Little River Redskins on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lyndon sitting on eight straight victories and Little River on three.

It was another big night for Lucas Griffin, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 104 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. James Marcotte also helped with two scores in total.
Lyndon's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Joe Biggs with two sacks.
Meanwhile, Little River faced Clifton-Clyde in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Redskins took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-18 win over the Eagles. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Redskins had established a 26-point advantage.
Little River's win came from a few key players Lyndon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaren Garrison, who rushed for 120 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, and also threw for 26 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Konen, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Little River was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Lyndon's record is now 8-0. As for Little River, their record now sits at 8-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lyndon has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 222.4 rushing yards per game.
