Basketball Recap: Emma Wang's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arcadia over Burroughs

Arcadia has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 61-36 to the Burroughs Bears on Monday. If the Apaches were looking for revenge after losing 54-9 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Arcadia lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emma Wang, who posted eight points. The dominant performance gave Wang a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Pape, who had four points and eight rebounds.

Arcadia's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Burroughs, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Arcadia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-37 victory against Muir on the 30th. As for Burroughs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-36 win against Glendale on the 30th.
