Baseball Recap: Bartlett Has No Trouble Against Aurora East

Bartlett got themselves on the board against Aurora East on Tuesday, but Aurora East never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Tomcats. The Hawks have beaten the Tomcats the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tomcats has come to flipping the script.

Bartlett got a massive performance out of Bradon Pelz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave Pelz a new career-high. Evan Epert also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Bartlett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bartlett's record now sits at 9-5. As for Aurora East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bartlett will face off against Glenbard South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora East, they will take on Riverside-Brookfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
