Basketball Recap: Carmichaels Comes Up Short

Carmichaels lost against Chartiers-Houston back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes were dealt a 59-20 loss at the hands of the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers. The Mighty Mikes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Carmichaels' loss came despite strong showings from Avery Voithofer and Ali Jacobs. Voithofer posted six points, while Jacobs earned five points.

This is the second loss in a row for Carmichaels and nudges their season record down to 2-17. As for Chartiers-Houston, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Carmichaels and West Greene will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Chartiers-Houston, they will host Bentworth at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Chartiers-Houston's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Bentworth has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
