Softball Recap: Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks vs. Pueblo South Colts
Cheyenne Mountain gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Pueblo South Colts as they made off with a 15-5 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red-Tailed Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
Addison Gutschick made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Gutschick was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michaela (MJ) Ewen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Corrine Harlow, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
