Tyler won the last time they faced Joshua and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions slipped by the Owls 17-16. The 17-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Caden J Granberry threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Trey Haralson was his top target, picking up 108 receiving yards. On the ground, Cadarius McMiller rushed for 83 yards on only 11 carries.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Joshua, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
