Football Game Preview: Goddard Rockets vs. Roswell Coyotes + Official Tickets

Goddard hasn't had much luck against Roswell recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m.

Goddard is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Artesia, who was ranked sixth at the time (Goddard was ranked 22nd). The Rockets took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Rockets couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Roswell humbled Mayfield with a 52-21 victory. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Roswell, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.
