Basketball Recap: String Theory Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, String Theory ended up a good deal behind the MAST Community Charter Panthers and lost 48-30. String Theory was down 44-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading MAST Community Charter to victory were Tierney Hamilton and Rylie Fitzsimmons. Hamilton went 8 of 18 en route to 19 points and three steals, while Fitzsimmons dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Hamilton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lena Mulray was another key player, putting up seven points along with six steals and five assists.

String Theory's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for MAST Community Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

String Theory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for MAST Community Charter, they will face off against Morrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
