Recap: Towanda Black Knights vs. Sayre Redskins
There's no place like home for the Towanda Black Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 44-34 victory over Sayre on Tuesday. The victory was just what Towanda needed coming off of a 79-17 loss in their prior contest.
Sayre's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Meghan Flynn, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals. Flynn is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Peyton Black was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win got Towanda back to even at 1-1. As for Sayre, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Towanda will head out on the road to face off against Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sayre, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Troy at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Troy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
