Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apple Valley). They claimed a resounding 72-41 victory over the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. With the Sun Devils ahead 40-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Leading Apple Valley to victory were Simran Ahluwalia and Elizabeth Searls. Ahluwalia posted 20 points and five assists, while Searls scored 19 points and six assists. Anastasia Cochran was another key player, putting up seven points and five blocks.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Apple Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Apple Valley's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Apple Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 29-28 victory against Serrano on the 28th. Academy for Academic Excellence has also already played their next game, a 46-20 loss against University Prep on the 31st.
