Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Early County). They were the clear victors by a 41-17 margin over the Miller County Pirates on Friday. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Pirates are ranked 346th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evan Grist threw for 37 yards and one touchdown.

The victory got Early County back to even at 2-2. As for Miller County, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Early County will take on Terrell County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller County, they will venture away from home to take on Appling County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller County will be up against Appling County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
