Softball Game Preview: Lake Oconee Academy Titans vs. Social Circle Redskins

Lake Oconee Academy has won seven straight games at home, while Social Circle has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Titans will host the Redskins at 5:00 p.m.

On Friday, Lake Oconee Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Baldwin and fell 7-6.

Lake Oconee Academy got a massive performance out of Beth Harris, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Social Circle's hitters rose to the challenge against a Mustangs pitching crew that boasted an average of only 4.04 runs allowed on Wednesday. The Redskins were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over Mount Vernon. Considering the Redskins have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lake Oconee Academy now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Social Circle, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.
