Schurr is 8-1 against Alhambra since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Moors at 7:00 p.m. Alhambra took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Schurr, who comes in off a win.

Schurr is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mark Keppel 61-0. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Aztecs are ranked 1034th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Alhambra didn't have quite enough to beat Montebello on Friday and fell 29-26. The Moors haven't had much luck with the Oilers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Defeat or not, Alhambra got some senior leadership from Bryan Leonard and Halen Tsang. Leonard threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns, while Tsang gained 96 total yards and two touchdowns. 81 of Leonard's passing yards were hauled in by Nero Navarro.

Schurr's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points over those games. As for Alhambra, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Schurr against Alhambra in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-6 win. In that contest, the Spartans amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
