Softball Recap: Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mid-Prairie

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont). Everything went their way against the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks on Thursday as they made off with a 24-5 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont's win bumped their record up to 11-19. As for Mid-Prairie, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

Looking ahead, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont will face off against Columbus on Wednesday. As for Mid-Prairie, they will take on West Burlington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.55 runs per game on average), something the Golden Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
