Soccer Recap: Morrow Comes Up Short

Morrow and Woodward Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Morrow had to settle for second. They came up short against the War Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Morrow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Woodward Academy are ranked 18th).

Morrow's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Woodward Academy, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Morrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodward Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sprayberry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sprayberry will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Woodward Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
