Tyler Legacy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over the North Forney Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-56 back in January.

Tyler Legacy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JP Rainer, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and four steals. What's more, Rainer also posted a 80% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Jones, who put up 15 points.

Rainer wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Tyler Legacy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up eight more assists than North Forney's also-impressive total of 11.

Despite the loss, North Forney still got an impressive performance from Taeshaun Benson, who went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points and six rebounds. North Forney is 2-1 when Benson posts 20 or more points, but 11-20 otherwise. Nick Marshall was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Tyler Legacy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for North Forney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-21 record this season.

Coming up, Tyler Legacy will face off against North Garland at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. North Forney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
