Baseball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling and Wellington squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sterling had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Memphis Dempcy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Wellington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Sterling nor Wellington have any future games scheduled.
