Soccer Game Preview: Model vs. Pepperell

The Model Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Pepperell Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Model's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Model didn't have quite enough to beat Fannin County and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Pepperell fell victim to Bremen and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pepperell's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Model, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Model took their win against Pepperell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Model since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
