Soccer Recap: Volcano Vista Wins Going Away Against Cibola

Cibola kept up with Volcano Vista until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Hawks put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Volcano Vista, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Cibola from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Ethan Riley led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Volcano Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six contests. As for Cibola, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

As of now, neither Volcano Vista nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
