Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Franklin Panthers

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Franklin Panthers will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.

On Friday, Cleveland ended up a good deal behind Chatsworth and lost 46-32. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Franklin hadn't done well against Eagle Rock recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Franklin came out on top against Eagle Rock by a score of 50-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Franklin is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Cleveland didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Franklin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory. Will Cleveland repeat their success, or does Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
