Baseball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland lost against Adairsville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ridgeland Panthers fell 10-5 to the Adairsville Tigers. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Ridgeland got a good showing from Kase Stone, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stone has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Koltin Webb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bryson Duke, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Ridgeland's record is now 8-6. As for Adairsville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

While Ridgeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
