Soccer Game Preview: Windward vs. Oakwood

The Windward Wildcats and the Oakwood Owls will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Windward, who comes in off a win.

Oakwood better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Windward really get things going. Windward never let Archer School for Girls onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Saturday. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Kennedy Richard and Ranya Toubassy scored all three of Windward's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oakwood's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Simi Valley.

Windward pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Oakwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
