Recap: Valley View Eagles vs. Poly Bears

Make it eight blowout wins for the Valley View Eagles this season. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over Poly. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Valley View has posted against Poly since January 25, 2018.

Valley View was led to victory by Tiana Washington and Mason Long. Washington scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Long scored 22 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Long has scored at least a third of Valley View's points. Another player making a difference was Kansas Lauderman, who scored six points.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Poly, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will take on Paloma Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Poly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
