Football Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short at Home Against Southwest Legacy

Jefferson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Southwest Legacy Titans on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

James Ross was nothing short of spectacular for Southwest Legacy: he rushed for 150 yards and two scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-14 loss against Pleasanton on the 5th. As for Southwest Legacy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-0 victory against LEE on the 5th.
