Trinity Christian took a 23-run defeat the last time they faced off against St. Marys, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Blue Devils on Monday.
Trinity Christian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Hopkins, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.
The victory got Trinity Christian back to even at 11-11. As for St. Marys, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
