             Clear Lake hasn't had much luck against Clear Springs recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Clear Lake Falcons will face off against the Clear Springs Chargers at 7:00  p.m. Clear Lake will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  game than the last.
 Clear Lake is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They claimed a resounding  51-14 win over Brazoswood at home. Given the Falcons' advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings  (they are ranked 320th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 702nd), the result  on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Calab Benjamin, who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 113  rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Penny Robinson, who threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clear Lake was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 318  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Clear Lake wouldn't let Brazoswood keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Clear Lake can thank  Juan Posso and  Luke Pullig for forcing both of them.
 Meanwhile, Clear Springs waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their  contest on the road  with ease, bagging  a  43-13 victory over the Wolverines. That looming  43-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chargers yet this  season.
 The  win  got Clear Lake back to even at 2-2. As for Clear Springs, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Clear Lake was dealt a bruising  41-10 loss at the hands of Clear Springs in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Clear Springs'  Julian Salazar, who threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns while completing 79.3% of his passes.
