Basketball Game Preview: Fontana Steelers vs. Rialto Knights

The Fontana Steelers will challenge the Rialto Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Fontana took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 69-18 win over Rim of the World. The Steelers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rialto waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the SkyHawks with points to spare, taking the game 70-51.

Rialto pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Fontana, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Fontana ended up a good deal behind Rialto in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, losing 43-27. Can Fontana avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
