Volleyball Recap: Sumter's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sumter entered their tilt with Brookland-Cayce on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bearcats. That's more bragging rights for the Gamecocks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Sumter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Sumter's win bumped their record up to 7-8-2. As for Brookland-Cayce, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumter will take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will square off against Airport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
