North Callaway hasn't had much luck against New Bloomfield recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be taking part in a tournament against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. North Callaway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
North Callaway's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wellsville-Middletown as they made off with a 20-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

The team relied heavily on Madyson Gordon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kymorie Myers, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
North Callaway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, neither New Bloomfield nor Sturgeon could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw.
With that draw, New Bloomfield's record moves to 1-1-1. As for North Callaway, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
New Bloomfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Callaway has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .547. It's a different story for New Bloomfield, though, as they've only averaged .349. Will they be able to contain North Callaway's hitters?
North Callaway came out on top in a nail-biter against New Bloomfield when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Thunderbirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
