Recap: Lower Moreland Lions vs. Upper Moreland Bears
The Lower Moreland Lions entered their tilt with the Upper Moreland Bears with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lower Moreland enjoyed a cozy 45-31 victory over Upper Moreland on Tuesday. For Lower Moreland, this counts as revenge for the 41-36 loss Upper Moreland walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Lower Moreland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mollie Martin, who scored seven points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Mcferran, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Lower Moreland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Upper Moreland, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Lower Moreland will head out on the road to take on Cheltenham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper Moreland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against William Tennent at 7:00 p.m. William Tennent will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Upper Moreland is ranked 141st).
